Registration
When you register at Acorn, we need to know your name, your gender, your ID or Passport number, one of your delivery addresses, your email address and a contact number. These are used to verify who you are, and to enable us to deliver any orders you place with us.

Your Password
Once you have registered, your personal details can only be accessed by way of a password. We suggest that you keep this password private to ensure that no one else can gain access to this information.

Delivery Information
When you first start shopping with us, we will ask you for your delivery suburb and postal code, to ensure that we are able to deliver to your area. We will also give you the choice to furnish us with your email address, so that we can notify you when delivering to you.

Contacting Customer Services
When you contact Acorn's Customer Services, we may ask for your name, email address or order number so that we are able to help you with any queries you may have, or to reply to you if need be.

Site Monitoring
We monitor general customer behavior patterns on the website to help us better tailor Acorns' offering to your needs and wishes.

Competitions
If you enter one of our competitions, we may ask for your name, address, and email address so we can administer the competition and notify the winners.

Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of information stored by your browser (for instance, Internet Explorer or Netscape) on your computer. It can contain your name, the contents of your shopping bag, and your payment information in an encrypted format, which can be recalled when you return to the Acorns site to speed up your identification, and therefore your ordering and delivery processes. Third Parties
Acorns will make sure that your personal information is kept strictly confidential and is not disclosed to third parties. Moreover, we will only contact you with news of Acorns special offers. However, we may release account information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to a) comply with law, b) enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements, or c) protect the rights, property or safety of Acorns, our users, or others.

Security Policy

Acorn takes every precaution to protect your payment details.

On ordering, where you are asked to enter your card information, that information is encrypted and protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL (Secure Socket Layer). (While on an encrypted page, the lock icon at the bottom of browsers such as Internet Explorer and Netscape becomes locked.)

Order Returns Policy
 

The following terms apply:

  • All items returned will be inspected prior to refund.
  • Proof of purchase is required for all returns.
  • Price paid by the customers is the price on which the refund is based.
  • Items shopped via Acorn can be returned in the following ways:
    • Returned to any Acorns head office or one of the satellites for a full refund, replacement or exchange, provided proof of purchase is provided.
  • A collection fee is charged for collections.
  • A collection and redelivery fee will be charged where a return is refused.
  • Returns will be refused in the following circumstances:
    • Where the items have been tampered with or altered in any way.
    • In the case where a return is deemed to be unreasonable, this will be referred to management for resolution.
  • We can only replace a product with the same type of product.
  • Items must be returned to Acorns within 1 month of the purchase date.

Order Cancellations Policy
 
  • No cancellations will be accepted after midnight on the day prior to the date of delivery.
  • No penalty charges will be levied against cancelled orders prior to the abovementioned cut-off time
